Committees
Rhinebeck Crew is an all-volunteer organization and relies heavily on the generous time and resources of all participating team families. All members are expected to proactively contribute time and effort during race days by helping set up, operating, and shutting down our trailer and tents during regattas.
Food Trailer Committee (10 required)
Maintain food trailer
Shop for food prior to regattas
Prepare food prior to regattas
Lead trailer and tent set-up on the morning of regattas
Prepare and serve food
Collect donations at each regatta
Interact with Treasurer for purchase of food and supplies
Run errands prior to and during regatta if necessary
Clean and maintain trailer
Interact with executive committee on trailer maintenance and improvements
Trailer Towing Committee (3 required)
Tow trailer from Rhinebeck High School to regattas on the day of, or day before, each regatta
Tow trailer back to Rhinebeck High School after each regatta
Ensure proper working condition of trailer and towing equipment
Interact with coaches and trailer committee on schedule and coordination
Fundraising Committee (7 required)
Annual appeal letter to crew families and community members
Develop, plan and execute fundraising events
Practice Committee (3 required)
Organize, coordinate and schedule attendance of one parent at each Rhinebeck Crew practice at the Poughkeepsie Boathouse.
Parents from each family are asked to participate. For the parent attending the practice, this will only require casual observation. However, if assistance is required, either in the case of emergency or communication with the greater team, some action may be required.
Equipment Committee (3 required)
Work with coaching staff to maintain boats, launches, motors, boat trailer, food trailer, and boathouse area
Work with executive committee to obtain necessary funds.
States Committee (5 required)
Work with coaching staff to organize team transportation to Saratoga
Facilitate departure from Rhinebeck High School on morning of departure
Communicate with greater team on logistics
Work with team hotel to ensure efficient move-in and move-out
Work with coaches and executive committee on team supervision
Plan team dinners on Friday and Saturday nights

Executive Committee will reserve our tent spots
Coaches will make necessary competition entries and submit corresponding fees
Food trailer committee will take care of all breakfasts and lunches
A separate team meeting will occur in order to effectively inform the greater team of States logistics and requirements
