A Gold Medal Sunday

Our Girls Novice 4 team competed and won gold at the HVRL Novice Championships held on May 19th at Pinecliff Lake in West Milford NJ. They led for the entire race and easily won their heat by 6 boat lengths. Logging their best time of the season with a 6:19 finish, this was the lowest time for both heats in their category. These freshman girls have been on a roll and surely will continue to impress us. A bright future lies ahead as varsity rowers next year! Congratulations to our novice coach Evan Russell on his success with these young ladies.

Rhinebeck Wins at Triangulars

After weather-related cancellations of the Saratoga Invitation on April 27th and the Dutchess Cup on May 1st, Rhinebeck Crew finally got a chance to race at the 2019 Triangulars Regatta held May 3 & 4th. While all boats were competitive for a first race of the season, the Rhinebeck Girls had a banner day. Their Varsity 8 finished 2nd place in their heat while the Senior 4 and Junior 8 took home gold medals. GO RHINEBECK!

A special mention to the novice Girls 4 who finished 4th in their heat on Friday. This was their very first race every, competed well and were only 9/10th of a second beyond the second place boat. Next stop – NYS Championships in Saratoga!
